I wanted to start boxing because I felt like doing something new and something challenging, learning a new skill, that’s the most personal reason. Obviously it’s a nice confidence boost as well and the bonuses are that it’s great fitness, and it overall it’s actually benefits me in many ways because there is so much that actually goes into it. From rhythm to fitness to strength to technique so I enjoy all of that. What I actually enjoy about the lessons is the mixture of the fitness and the drills and obviously I like the environment, the way you coach, your approachability is great.

Training wakes me up in the morning so I shake off feeling a bit tired and I’m awake and ready for the day. During the sessions I feel challenged (and a bit frustrated) because when I am learning anything I want to focus and get it right and I am quite hard on myself. Brendon’s coaching is always pushing my limits so after every session I feel great because I’ve learnt something new! It’s also a really fun environment, and I still learn practical skills at an exponential rate. What I enjoy most is the mental challenge. It's not just a mind-numbing workout but a chance to engage both my body and mind.


I feel as though my problem solving abilities have gotten better. I can tackle everyday tasks with much more ease. I am without a doubt calmer and I feel a greater sense of self-confidence. I am in better shape now than I have ever been. My diet has improved and I am calmer in social situations.

Training makes me feel good and energized. It’s a lot of challenge and a lot of fun. Each session I feel like I’m progressing. The tummy workouts especially are great! I also really enjoy that each day is a different challenge, and I’ve got to live up to that challenge. Outside of training I feel calmer and relaxed, and I can say that training has definitely changed me. Not only that, but since I’ve started training I do sleep better and right through the night. I don’t wake up like I use to.
